Effect of advanced Trombe walls on indoor environment moisture control

Describes the experimental results for evaluating the transient thermal and moisture transfer behaviours in advanced Trombe wall. The experimental house which includes two rooms respectively with advanced Trombe wall and ordinary insulation wall is utilized to examine the hygrothermal performance. The experiment is fulfilled during the winter of 2004. The results reveals that the relative humidity of the room without Trombe wall is higher than the room with Trombe wall by about 20% and the mildew appears in inner surface of wall due to much condensation water on the windows. Clarifies the features of simultaneous heat and moisture transfer in both rooms and the effect on some physics parameters, such as indoor relative humidity, moisture content in the wall, human comfort and so on.
